GOSPEL ARTISTS
Yeah, you know who iwill start with
WILSON BUGEMBE:
If I talk about “kwata ekisimu” the it is him. He has come a long way since he started. His songs how ever have gained appeal because they link with what people go through in Uganda. They originate from “the music of those days” mixed with a very small touch of ragga generated electronically to balance up the audience. Kani is his latest. Very interesting and funny, you need to hear this one.
EXODUS:
Not many of you know this name , wait a little , what if I talk about Ganja Man? Most people call him ganja man a title of his best song ever. Exodus, a very talented man. He says he used to be a ganja man. Very creative powerful stage movements will make him one of the biggest artists in Africa.
GEORGE OKUDI:
Now many are going to ask me questions I can’t answer. The truth is that there ha s never existed an artist who performs with all his heart, body and soul like his Excellency Okudi. He won a PAM award, not only that but also KORA All Africa awards with the same song “Wipolo”. I wonder where is now. Please if you live near George Okudi, tell him we want him to come back and perform for us one more time.
Please send me more information about your artists. I appreciate those who have contacted me. Thank you so much.
OTHER UGANDAN ARTISTS
BOBBI WINE:
Yea he is da Ghetto ‘presdo’ I mean’ per now, I don’t know when getto people of Kamwokya vote next. If you know tell us. He is in Kamwokya and president of fire Base Crew Uganja ‘read it again not Uganda’ as they call it. They have a minister of agric I here he is responsible for ‘da plantation’, now don't ask me which plant is grown, vice president Buchaman, and other ragamuffins.
I remember one time when he was asked whether he had a ganja garden and he replied “every man has a plantiation”
JOSE CHAMELEONE:
He might be just like a chameleon! Chameleone owns Leone Islalnd and has won many awards for his music which is between afro music and raga style. Chameleone now says he will nolonger fight like the way he used, memba their problems with Bebe Cool.
BEBE COOL:
He is the munene munene in Uganda meaning big that is what he calls him self.
I think he is a cool babe or real, he is cool for those who have ever seen him perform you know what I mean
H recently got misunderstandings with Zuena, and the poor girl had to go , we don’t know where she is now
RADIO AND WEAZLE:
You all know about bread and batter don’t you? Yea they are the new kids on the block you know. Their songs zuena, nakudata did a lot for them. Now they are hitting on MTV BASE especially their new song with Blue 3. Radio does his thing well but for weazle, I cant comment. Most people say he does not know how to sing. Please feel free to comment on this.
The latest news is that they have signed a $1000 bill with Uganda dairies for using the song bread and batter to promote their products.
GNL ZAMBA:
“Ani aluleta?”( meaning who is complaining!), he is Uganda’s new hip hop artist and he is doing well with his “luga—flow”( a Ugandan hiphop in luganda). He gained un expected success since most Ugandans do not love the hip hop stle, most ugandan s are used to reaggy music( dance hall, raga, reaggytone , that music which makes them to dance you know!). GNL ZAMBA signed a 30 000 000 shillins record deal with Shadrack (The tattoo guy at Kampala road).
SWEET KID:
he is really sweet, isn’t he? I wonder why he is still “KID”, any way he is now really competing favourably and at a lumbox carnival early last year, I saw fans carry him around , man big up. I have not yet got a recent song from him. If you have it, tell it to us, again comments please.
BLUE 3:
I don’t know whether they are really blue. These girls are doing well, young as they are, united as they are moreover each of them originates from a different corner of Uganda. How ever Cindy has again proved to u s that she can do it alone. She has gone solo yet still in the group. Her new songs are really hot, at first I did not like the first one “mbulira honey” …….something follows here..sorry if you were tightly tuned, now I go on, her songs are hot and I really see that she can become a real big independent artist.

who is SAM GETTO DOLLAR ????.................
His real name is SAM EBERU MUWEREZA
Sam Getto Dollar can not tell us when he started music.
"I remember I used to record my self on a cassete as I sang while drumming any thing aroud or even along recorded instrumentals. His dream has come to leave and he is viewed as one of the artists in uganda who have hit surprisingly by only the second single in his life time. He says
Run away is his first song because the first one was like a learning on version.
HERE ARE GETTO SAM'S WORDS ABOUT HOW HE STARTED
When i first went to studio, i talked to producer Alan and we agreed on a price and he put me on program (That was 2007) aroud august). The recording date reached and i had written only a chorus with three verses. Alan said I sing it. I sang it for him .He said i had to improve my voice. He how ever was surprised by the way i had formatted the song ,he said some people come here when they even don't know what a chorus is and what is a verse. Some one who was inside the studio said mz voice souded like Junior Terribo s voice (currently works with Alan at D Records) but Alan said there is some thing I cannot forget, that I was also better at than him in something("Naye waliwo kyamusinga ko") as Producer Alan said(Luganda). Hearing this I felt encouraged and went back to re- organize the song and rehearse to get ready for the voicing session. I released Gwe Kitangala with Empro O.J, it didn't do well though for a starting artist, it was fair start.Due to setbacks, i first rested from music now knowing that it is not very easy. In mid 2008, i went back to Studio and told Alan i had come back. He was so happy and he told me to sing for him as he always does. Standing, I sang to them and alan was very greatfull after i sang the lines of the run away chorus though i had no words for the verse. just lalaaa, laalaa .He said "Kyolikko nkimanyi" MEANING I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN so he gave me a program and told me to develop the lyrics, they always take me a short time to develop so i did and we gave it a try in the end of 2008. I wanted it to be released around march , april 2009 but unfortunately Alan was out of the country so we did it after i finished my exams at campus (july). Guess what every one is still amazed by a hit produced by an artist who has not even finished two years i the industry.Getto Sam is currently on the fighting team against Homosexuallity in East Africa and Africa at large. He hopes to release his first album in 2010 at an unknown date. He is noted for being approchable and loving to his fans and any person. "I love people because they are the responsible for determining whether you wil succed or not as an artist. This page is dedicated to all those who value the work of Getto Sam in Uganda and Africa at large.
